Demerger communications and share plan

The Brief

When DuluxGroup demerged from Orica, they asked Transform to help communicate the change to employees. This included the employment transfer process, changes to pay and benefits, a new executive incentive plan and employee share plan.


Our role in the demerger included:

  • planning the internal communications rollout
  • developing a demerger site on the intranet
  • developing briefing packs and QA guides for senior managers and HR
  • explaining the letter-of-offer process
  • producing ongoing demerger updates and a special demerger magazine
  • developing offer materials for the new executive and employee share plans.

Transform has continued to communicate DuluxGroup’s Employee and Executive Share Plan offers year on year from 2010 onwards.


  • 100% of employees transferred their employment before the target date with no disruption to business as usual.
  • Employees, managers, HR and unions were positive about the frequency, clarity and transparency of the information provided.
